So often when AFL players join WAFL league football teams, the purpose of their inclusion is to get back to playing AFL as soon as possible, using their WAFL club as a vehicle to improving fitness or form. In a lot of cases these players will rejoin their local team and have very little impact to the performance of the team, participating as a player and not a complete member of the team.
