WA Football veteran Troy Cook has announced he will hang up his boots following Perth Football Club’s game against Peel Thunder at EFTel Oval this Saturday, June 5.
“I was almost going to give it away at the start of this season but I decided to play on with the hope of winning enough games to make the finals and just help the boys out. But unfortunately it looks like finals will be out of reach for us and I’m not enjoying my footy as much,” the 33-year-old said.
“I’m really thankful for all of the opportunities the club has given me and I’ll always have good memories. Starting out in my first pre-season back in 1993 and then coming back to be captain after finishing AFL was great.”
