The Gala Auction is the football club's major fundraising event of the year.
100% of proceeds go directly to helping the club continue to support the local community in the following ways:

  • Employment of a full time ‘Aboriginal Engagement Officer’ (commenced in 2016) to facilitate the development of the club’s large contingent of aboriginal footballers;
  • Management of residential house (Wembley Downs) for our ‘Regional Accommodation Program’ (commenced 2017), supporting young aboriginal men moving from the country into the city, with the program currently engaging 3 young men, 2 from Northam, 1 from Tammin;
  • Coordinate and run a football program in the Banksia Hill Detention Centre (commenced 2016), supported by ‘Life Skills’ classroom sessions;
  • In partnership with Clontarf Northam, coordinate and run the Northam Satellite Program (commenced 2015), a weekly training and feedback session supporting the club's large contingent of young regional players;
  • Raise awareness and money for charities and organisations including ‘The Fathering Project’, ‘WA Prostate Cancer Foundation’, support & recognition of ‘ANZAC Day’, ‘NAIDOC Week’ and ‘Count Me In’ promoting the inclusion of people with mental and personal disabilities;
  • Support of major charity partner ‘Ronald McDonald House’, Perth (commenced in 2017);
  • Facilitate and coach up and coming coaches via the Perth Coaching Academy (commenced in 2016);
  • Facilitate and coach developing teenagers aged 14, 15 and 16 through the Perth Football Club training program under the “Robert Wiley Foundation’.
